Description

This is an early 19th century house with a shop, located on the south side of Fore Street, West Looe. The building is constructed of rubble walls with shallow, segmental arches, and has a dry slate roof with a 20th-century gabled dormer on the right-hand side. Cast-iron ogee gutters are also present. The building follows a double-depth plan and is two stories high, with a three-window front. The first floor retains its original 12-pane hornless sash windows. The shop front on the left was added in the late 19th century, featuring end pilasters and a moulded entablature with a flat fascia. This shop front includes a doorway with an overlight and a panelled, glazed door, alongside a recessed plate glass window. A 20th-century recessed double shop front exists on the right-hand side. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
