Description

Jubilee House is an early 19th-century house, now with a shop, located on Queen Street in Bideford. The front is of solid rendering, topped by a slate roof, with rendered chimney stacks on each gable. The three-storey building has a three-window front. Late 19th or early 20th century shop fronts occupy the ground floor, although much of their detail is hidden by a late 20th-century fascia. The central windows of the upper floors are set within a segmental-headed recess. The second storey features a Venetian window with a keystone, with the sidelights being blind and the central light boarded over. A square boarded window occupies the third storey, featuring a flat architrave eaved top and bottom. The outer windows are sash windows, with 6 over 6 panes in the second storey and 3 over 6 panes in the third storey. A moulded board runs below the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
