Description
Curno Cottage is a small house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features rendered rubble walls and a gable-ended slate roof, along with two rubble stacks—one at the right gable end and another lateral stack at the rear. The layout consists of two rooms, likely with a central passage, where the left-hand room is heated by the rear lateral stack and the right-hand room by the gable end stack. The house was refronted and probably modified internally in the early 19th century. It stands two storeys high with a regular three-window front, showcasing early 19th-century 12-pane lantern sashes on the ground floor and later versions with horns on the first floor. A 20th-century plank door is located to the right of centre. The interior was inaccessible at the time of the survey.
