Description

No. 18 Fore Street is a shop with accommodation above, dating from the 1870s. The building features a rendered exterior on masonry with quoin strips and a dry slate roof that has deep eaves supported by brackets. It has a deep plan and stands two storeys tall with a one-window front. The window is a tripartite horned sash, flanked by pilasters, and is topped with a moulded eared architrave and a moulded hood on brackets. The shop front, which is from the mid-19th century, includes a splayed doorway to the left of centre and transomed lights, along with a fascia added in the 1980s. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
