Description

No. 17 Lower Lux Street is a shop with accommodation above, built in the mid-19th century. The front features slate hanging on studwork and has an asbestos slate roof. The building has a shallow-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a one-window range. It possibly retains original two-pane hornless sash windows, with the second-floor sash having a high meeting rail. The ground floor has a 20th-century four-light transomed double shop front with a stepped fascia. The interior of the shop has been altered in the 20th century.
