Description
No. 3 Higher Lux Street is a town house dating from the early 19th century. The front is finished in stucco on masonry, and it has an asbestos slate roof with a brick stack located on the right side. The house features cast-iron ogee gutters and has a double-depth plan that includes a rear wing. It stands two storeys tall and has a two-window range. The windows are early 19th century 16-pane hornless sashes. To the right of the house, there is an open-pedimented doorcase with moulded pilasters, paired consoles, a lozenge design on the frieze, and a dentilled cornice. To the left of the doorway, there are a pair of sashes, and at the far left, there is a boarded door that leads into a through-passage. The interior has not been inspected.
