Description

No.15, Lower Lux Street is a mid-19th century shop with accommodation above. The front of the building is slatehung on timber studwork, with a slate roof. It has a shallow-depth plan and stands three storeys high with a two-window front. The windows are likely original 2-pane hornless sashes with high meeting rails to the second floor, and 2-pane sashes to the first floor, all set within wide wooden architraves. The ground floor retains its original four-light transomed double shop front, with a central doorway featuring a blind overlight and a pair of 2-panel doors. A planked domestic door is on the left side, with pilasters flanking the doors and lights, and an original fascia with blind detailing. The interior has not been inspected.
