Description
No. 13 Higher Lux Street is a small town house with a shop, built in 1861, as indicated by the datestone inscribed 'W. N.'. The exterior features slate hanging on studwork between painted rubble piers that front the cross walls. It has an asbestos slate roof with a gabled roof dormer and projecting front eaves. There is a brick end stack on the right side. The building has a narrow double-depth plan and consists of two storeys with a one-window range. The central mid-19th century segmental-headed window is a four-pane hornless sash, situated above the original four-light shop front, which includes end pilasters with moulded caps and a fascia with a moulded cornice. To the left, there is a four-panel top glazed door. The interior has not been inspected.
