Description
No. 18 Pydar Street is a small town house that has been converted into a shop. It likely dates from the 18th century and was refronted in the early 19th century. The front features incised stucco on studwork, and the building has a steep asbestos slate roof with a hipped dormer. It has a double-depth plan with the shop located at the front. The building is two storeys plus an attic and has a one-window-range front. The original 16-pane hornless sash window is set within a moulded wooden architrave above a 1971 shop front, which includes a shop window with 12 panes and a glazed door with an overlight on the left. The interior of the shop was altered in the 20th century, and the first floor has not been inspected.
