Description
22 and 23 Pydar Street are a pair of small houses, now used as offices, dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of local rubble with granite dressings and feature an asbestos slate roof and brick axial stacks. The buildings have a double-depth mirror-image plan and stand two storeys high, with a symmetrical three-window front. There are central doorways with panelled doors and overlights, and shallow segmental arches with keyblocks above the original 12-pane hornless sash windows, except for two sash windows on the right, which are horned copies. The interiors have been altered for shops in the 20th century, and the first floor has not been inspected.
