Description

No. 1 Madford Lane is a small town house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 18th century and features a rendered front that is likely built on rubble, with slate hanging on the left-hand gable. The building has a steep rag slate roof and a rubble stack on the left side. It has a deep narrow plan that includes a deep rear wing and stands three storeys tall with a narrow one-window range. The second floor has an old 12-pane, 2-light casement window, while the other windows and the door on the right side are from the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
