Description

No. 6 Southgate Place is a town house with a later shop, dating from the 18th century. It features a rendered exterior on studwork and a hipped rag slate roof with two slate-hung raking dormers. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high, with a four-window range. The mid-19th century windows include two 4-pane horizontal sliding sashes on the left and 4-pane, 2-light casements on the right. The ground floor has a large late 20th century shop front and a 20th century panelled door to the right. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
