Description
No. 4 Mount Folly Square is a town house built in the early 19th century. The building features incised stucco on studwork for the upper floors and rubble on the ground floor. It has a bitumen-grouted rag slate roof with brick end stacks and a cast-iron ogee gutter. The house has an L-shaped plan that includes a wing at the rear left and stands three storeys tall with a symmetrical three-window front. The original ground floor windows are 16-pane hornless sashes, while the upper floors have later 12-pane horned sashes, all set within moulded wooden architraves. There is a blind window above the central pilastered doorway, which has a moulded hood cornice. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
