Description

This is a threshing barn located on the south side of the yard, approximately 10 meters southwest of Trebartha Farmhouse. It dates from around the mid-19th century and is constructed from stone rubble, featuring granite quoins and dressings, with a slate roof and gable ends.

The barn has an overall rectangular plan, with shippons on the ground floor and a threshing floor above. The ground rises towards the rear, allowing for direct access to the first floor from the back. Originally, the barn was powered by a water wheel, which has since been removed.

The exterior of the barn is two storeys high, showcasing an imposing asymmetrical front elevation. There is a gabled full-height projection to the right of the center, featuring wide double door openings on both the ground and first floors, along with a roundel in the gable end. The ground floor openings on the left and right have granite lintels, while the first-floor doors on the left are adorned with dressed stone arches. Additionally, there is a full-height open-fronted bay on the far right. The interior has not been inspected.
