Description
NORTH HILL TREBARTHA SX 27 NE 4/180 Threshing barn on south side of yard approximately 10 metres to south west of Trebartha Farmhouse GV II Threshing barn. Circa mid C19. Stone rubble with granite quoins and dressings. Slate roof with gable ends. Plan: Overall rectangular plan with shippons on ground floor and threshing floor above. The ground rises to the rear and the bank barn arrangement enables direct access to first floor from rear. Originally powered by a water wheel which has been removed. Exterior: Two storeys. Imposing asymmetrical front elevation with gabled full height projection to right of centre. Wide double door openings on ground and first floor of projection with roundel in gable end. The ground floor openings to left and right have granite lintels and on the first floor the two doors to left have dressed stone arches. There is a full height open-fronted bay on the far right. Interior: Not inspected.
