Description

Trebartha Lodge is a lodge and entrance built in the late 19th century, with extensions added in the mid and late 20th century. It is constructed from snecked local stone, featuring a moulded plinth and brick dressings. The slate roof has gable ends, crested clay ridge tiles, and pierced decorated barge boards with clay finials. A tall axial stack is present.

The overall plan is 'T' shaped, with two rooms at the front and a wing near the center at the rear. The entrance is through a 19th-century porch located on the front right. The left side and rear have 20th-century extensions. The building is designed in a Gothic style.

The exterior is single-storey with an asymmetrical front elevation. The left side features the gable end of the cross wing, while the right side has the 19th-century porch with a round-headed brick arch and a plank door. The decorated pierced barge boards are notable, along with a two-light window on the left and a two-over-four pane sash window in the right-hand gable end, which has a brick surround and hoodmould.

At the front, the entrance is marked by 19th-century stone rubble and brick gate piers that are square in plan, with moulded plinths and pyramid caps. There are inner granite piers and a wrought iron gate with a datestone from 1897. The gate is flanked by stone rubble quadrant walls with brick coping and stone rubble and brick terminal piers that also have pyramid caps.
