Description
Copthorne Methodist Church is a Methodist church built around the 1820s. It is constructed of stone rubble and cob, with parts rendered and others covered in painted flat metal sheeting. The church has a slate roof with hipped ends and features an overall rectangular plan, with the entrance located through a 19th-century porch at the liturgical west end, which is the right-hand end of the building. The exterior is a single storey and presents a symmetrical two-window front facing the road. The round-headed windows have 19th-century frames with intersecting glazing bars. The 19th-century porch, located at the right-hand end, has a hipped slate roof. There are no windows on the liturgical east end, which is the left-hand end of the building. The interior is not accessible.
