Description

Brazacott Cross is a house with garden walls at the front, likely dating from the 17th century. It is built of rendered stone rubble and cob, topped with a steeply pitched asbestos slate roof featuring gable ends. The house has brick end stacks, with the right-hand stack projecting.

The layout consists of a two-room plan with a through passage. The larger hall kitchen is on the right, while the smaller parlour is on the left, both heated by the end stacks. There is a service outshot at the rear right, which is from the 18th century, and a brick outshot at the rear left, probably added in the late 19th century.

The exterior is two storeys high and features a not quite symmetrical two-window front with 19th-century two-light casements. There is a door from the late 19th or early 20th century to the left of centre, flanked by 19th-century casements, with additional two-light casements above.

The front garden is enclosed by a stone rubble wall and includes a triangular garden with a 19th-century iron gate. The interior has not been inspected, but the internal partitions are complete, although the fireplaces and floor joists have been covered over in the 20th century.
