Description
Trelill Methodist Church is a Methodist church built in 1812, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed from stone rubble with dressed quoins and features a cement washed scantle slate roof with hipped ends. The church has a rectangular plan with an entrance at one end and a symmetrical front with two windows. The ground floor includes a central round-arched doorway made of dressed stone, which has a keystone. There is a smaller 20th-century doorway that has been inserted with a brick surround and a 20th-century plank door. Above, there are two round dressed stone arched window openings that contain 6-pane windows with coloured glass. The front also features a central blind oculus with the datestone. The side and rear elevations each have two pointed window openings with coloured glass. Inside, the church has simple carpentry details and includes furnishings such as pitch pine pews and a rostrum.
