4/24 Barn at approx 85m north west of Trelissick House

GV II

Barn. Circa mid-C19 remodelled as offices by the National Trust. Slatestone rubble with brick arches. Ripped dry Delabole slate roof. C20 axial chimney. Rectangular plan. 2 storeys. Irregular 5-window east front overlooking courtyard. All openings have shallow arches over. Windows are C20 casements. Doors are C20 ledged and braced. 1-window blocked; at least 2 others are C20 insertions and 2 are in positions of former doorways. To far left is external flight of granite steps with wrought iron handrail, C20 in early C19 style. Interior not inspected. Included for group value.
