Description

NORTH HILL SX 27 NE 4/142 House 10 metres to north east of St Torney GV II

House. Circa late C18. Stone rubble with dressed quoins. Slate roof with gable ends continued over outshut to rear. Stone rubble end stacks. Plan: Double depth plan. Principal rooms to front, with probably larger hall- kitchen on right and parlour on left, both heated by end stacks. Narrow service rooms across rear. Exterior: Two storeys. Almost symmetrical 3-window front with entrance disposed slightly to left of centre. Painted possibly slate C19 porch with C20 door. Flanked by two C19 3-light casements with dressed stone arches and slate strings above. First floor with two C19 3-light casements flanking a central 2-light casement. Interior: not inspected.
