Description
Way Cross is a house that likely dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble, painted, and features rag slates on the front. The slate roof has gable ends and there are projecting stone rubble end stacks, with the right-hand stack truncated and the left-hand stack having a brick shaft. The layout probably consists of two rooms with a cross or through passage plan, along with a 19th-century outshut added to the rear and a 20th-century porch on the right-hand end. The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical two-window front, featuring three 20th-century windows on the ground floor and two above, all set in earlier openings for two-light casements. The interior has not been inspected.
