Description

ST BURYAN SW 42 NW 5/35 Bosliven Farmhouse - GV II Farmhouse. Circa 1852. Incised cement render to front and left-hand side (applied in circa 1930s), otherwise granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate hipped roofs. Rendered stacks over the side walls, brick chimney over rear wall of kitchen wing. Cast iron (or aluminium) ogee-section gutters. Granite brackets under the eaves at the front. Plan: L-shaped plan double-depth house with later Cl9 lean-tos filling the rear angle and later washhouse behind the kitchen. 2 similar rooms at the front flanking an entrance hall leading to stair hall with shallow rear service room on either side and a large kitchen wing behind the left-hand side. Exterior: Symmetrical 3 window south-east front with central doorway. Original 6- panel door and 12-pane hornless sashes (except for horned copies right of doorway). 4 similar windows in left-hand wall of kitchen and horned copy to stair. Interior: Not inspected but said to be complete except that some features, including the stair, have been clad in hardboard.
