Description
Lisbon Terrace is a terrace of three cottages and two houses, built in 1823. The front elevations are granite ashlar, with granite rubble elsewhere. The roofs are slate, with scantle slate on numbers 1 and 4, and asbestos slate on the remaining sections. Brick chimneys are located over the gable ends and cross walls.
The terrace is arranged with three cottages having a single room at the front, each with an entrance passage to the right of the doorway. The two houses have two rooms at the front, with entrance passages between the rooms. A small, likely 19th-century wash-house extension adjoins number 1.
The south-east front has seven windows overall. The cottages (numbers 1 to 3) on the left have a single window front with doorways on the right. The houses (numbers 4 and 5) on the right have symmetrical two-window fronts, with central doorways. The original window openings remain. A possible 19th-century four-panel door is present at number 4. Circa late 19th-century four-pane horned sash windows are found at number 3, to the left-hand side of number 4, and at the wash-house. Other windows and doors are 20th-century replacements. 20th-century porches are located in front of numbers 2, 4, and 5. The interiors have not been inspected.
