Description
Tregolls Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid-19th century, with few later alterations. It is constructed of stone rubble, featuring granite quoins and brick dressings, topped with a slate roof that has ridge tiles and gable ends. The building has gable end stacks with brick shafts. The layout consists of a double depth plan with the entrance located off-centre to the right. The larger principal room is to the left, while a smaller room is to the right. The kitchen is situated at the rear left, and the dairy is at the rear right, with a central single-storey outhouse attached to the rear, heated from a gable end stack.
The exterior is two storeys high and nearly symmetrical, with a four-window front. All windows are 19th-century 12-pane sashes, featuring cambered brick arches and brick jambs. The entrance includes a four-panelled door with a margin-glazed overlight, positioned second from the right. On the right side, there is a similar 12-pane sash at the first floor to the left. At the rear, the first floor has two similar 12-pane sashes and a central 18-pane sash that lights the stair, along with a small single 20th-century light. The ground floor to the left includes a 6-pane window, a plate-glass sash, and a 12-pane sash, while the right side has a 12-pane sash. The single-storey outhouse features a 2-light 3-pane casement on each side and a plank door on the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
