Description
This is a terrace of three small town houses located on Barn Street in Liskeard, dating from the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of rubble, which was probably originally covered in stucco, and feature stuccoed doorways. They have rag slate roofs and are grouted to No. 4 and the house to the north of No. 3, with a hipped end on the right (No. 4). The eaves cornice has modillion detailing, and there are cast-iron ogee gutters.
Each house likely has a double-depth plan, with one room at the front. The terrace is two storeys high and has a regular six-window range. The original windows are hornless sashes with glazing bars. The doorways are located to the right of the fronts and have stuccoed surrounds with moulded hoods and bracket-shaped pediments. No. 4 and the house to the north of No. 3 have original six-panel doors, while No. 3 features a 20th-century six-panel door. Although the interiors have not been inspected, they are likely to be of interest.
