Description
No. 11 West Street is an early 19th-century town house with a shop. The front is clad in slatehanging on a timber studwork frame, and it has a hipped roof covered in rag slates, with a cast-iron ogee gutter. The building has a deep plan, including a rear wing. It is arranged over three storeys and has a two-window front. Late 19th-century four-pane sash windows are set within moulded architraves. The ground floor features a central doorway with a 20th-century glazed door. To the left is a recessed shop front from the early 20th century, containing a recessed doorway to its right. The wall to the right of this doorway has plaster stripped from a nogged studwork background. A recessed bowed window is located on the right-hand side. The interior was not inspected.
