Large town house, now office. Mid C18. Painted coursed rubble with plinth and mid-floor band; hipped dry Delabole slate roof; modillion eaves cornice; cast-iron ogee gutters. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys plus attic over basement; symmetrical 5-window front. Late C19 two-pane sashes under flat arches with keyblocks; central round-arched doorway to distyle Tuscan porch with engaged columns; panelled door with plain fanlight. Inner door has glazed upper panel with margin panes and similar sidelights. Semi-circular on plan steps up to porch. Reset C17 basket-arched granite doorway to left-hand return. 2 roof dormers with mid C19 nine-pane sashes and cornices. INTERIOR retains mid C18 dado and modillion cornice to entrance hall and right-hand room; segmental stair arch with fluted pilasters; main stair with closed string and mahogany handrail; back stair with panelled newels and heavy turned balusters, moulded cornice to left-hand room. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached ashlar forecourt wall on the left; low rubble wall with granite copings to front; wrought-iron railings with arrow-head finials.
