Description
No. 7 West Street is a mid-19th century town house that has been converted into offices. The building features a stucco front on masonry and has a dry Delabole slate hipped roof with projecting front eaves and a cast-iron ogee gutter. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall, displaying a nearly symmetrical three-window arrangement. The wider central window is a four-pane horned sash, situated above a similar width ground-floor window with plate glass. There are narrow two-over-one pane horned sashes above keyed round-arched doorways, with the doorway on the right framed in a cavetto-moulded architrave. The building also has brackets under the sills and a moulded string course set on consoles to the pilasters of the wider left-hand doorway and central window. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
