Description
No. 30 Looe Street is a town house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is likely a remodelling of an older house. The building features a stucco exterior with a plinth and mid-floor bands, and it has a dry slate roof with projecting eaves and 19th-century crested clay ridge tiles, along with rear stacks. The overall plan is U-shaped, including rear wings. The house has three storeys and a symmetrical two-window front, with the second-floor windows spaced closer together. The first floor has early 19th-century 16-pane sash windows, while the ground-floor right window and other windows are later horned copies. The central entrance has a moulded door frame and a top-glazed, panelled door. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a significant group of 17th and 18th-century houses.
