Description

Cornish Goodness is a shop with living quarters above, likely dating to the 18th century. It is located on Fore Street in Lansallos, Polperro. The building is constructed of stone rubble, with slate hung on the front above the ground floor. The side walls are rendered, and the roof is slate with hipped ends. It was probably originally built with a single-depth, two-room plan, featuring a central stair in a cross passage. The ground floor is now open plan, and the front façade is symmetrical with two windows. The ground floor has two 20th-century shop windows flanking a glazed door. The corners of the building on the ground floor are chamfered. The first and second floors each contain two 16-pane sash windows without horns. The upper floors were not inspected. The building is included on the heritage list for its group value.
