Description

Lilly’s Cottage is a house dating from around the early 19th century, situated opposite Polperro Methodist Church. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble, with an asbestos slate roof and gable ends. The chimney stack in the left-hand gable end has a brick shaft. The house originally had a single-room plan, with a stair hall added to the right.

The two-storey, asymmetrical front has a two-window arrangement. On the ground floor, to the left of the part-glazed 19th-century six-panel door, is a 16-pane sash window without horns. The first floor has two 12-pane sashes, also without horns.

Inside, a 19th-century stair is located to the rear of the hall passage. Both the exterior and interior of Lilly’s Cottage remain unaltered.
