Description

Valerian House is a house dating from around the early 18th century, with remodelling in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble with a rag slate roof, featuring a gabled end on the left and a hipped end on the right. The house likely has a two-room plan, originally incorporating a store on the ground floor. The front facade has three storeys and a regular two-window arrangement. The ground floor has three door openings, while the first floor contains two four-pane sashes, flanked by a mid-19th century projecting gabled glazed porch that is corbelled out and supported on timber posts. A further two four-pane sashes are situated above. The interior has not been inspected. The house is included on the list for its group value.
