Description

Riverside and the adjoining houses to the right and left are a row of cottages, likely built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from stone rubble with granite dressings and feature a slate roof with gable ends. The cottages have stone rubble axial and end stacks. The row consists of three cottages: the two on the left have a two-room layout with a central entrance, while the cottage on the right has a one-room layout with its entrance. There is an extension at the rear, which includes a parallel range added in the late 19th or 20th century.

The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical front that has five windows. The left cottage has an almost symmetrical façade, featuring 16-pane replacement sash windows from the 20th century flanking a central part-glazed door, with two sash windows above. The middle cottage has a similar arrangement with 20th-century windows, while the right cottage has a 20th-century window on both the ground and first floors to the left, with a door to the right. The granite lintels above the ground floor openings have been extended to create a continuous string band. The interior has not been inspected.
