Description

A row of three cottages dating from the early 19th century, with alterations in the 20th century. The walls are constructed of coursed red sandstone rubble, topped with a slate roof featuring brick stacks and plain timber bargeboards. The cottages are two storeys high, with a three-bay facade. Each cottage has a single window on the front elevation, and the end cottages are cross-gabled and project outwards. The end cottages feature four-panel, bolection-moulded doors, while the central cottage has a 20th-century half-glazed door. The windows are recessed sash windows with glazing bars and stone sills, all set beneath heavy lintels. Rear windows were replaced in the 20th century. Internally, some exposed softwood beams and ceiling joists remain.
