Description
20 The Green is a house and former shop located in Little Neston Village. It dates from the mid-19th century and has undergone later alterations and an extension. The building features a whitened roughcast exterior on stone and a slate roof with gable end stacks on the original structure.
The main front of the building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a lower two-storey, one-bay extension set slightly back to the left. The central entrance has a 20th-century glazed door, flanked by stormguard casements. On the first floor, the central window is blocked, while the flanking windows are top-hung with glazing bars. The extension has a similar window on the first floor and a blocked opening on the ground floor.
The gable end facing the street features a two-storey gabled wall. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century half-glazed door to the right of a small nine-paned shop window, which has a hoodmould and stone sill. Above, at first floor level, there is a replacement casement window with glazing bars and a stone sill. The interior of the building does not retain any historic features.
