Description
The building comprises a gate and gate-piers at the east entrance to Penpont House, dating from around the middle of the 19th century. The gate-piers are a pair of granite monoliths, square in plan, with pyramid moulded tops. The gate itself is made of 19th-century cast iron, featuring curved braces. The gate’s uprights terminate in arrowheads and scrolled ornamentation below, and have scrolled cresting above the top rail.
