SW 72 NE ST. ANTHONY ST. ANTHONY-IN-MENEAGE -IN-MENEAGE 2/208 Roskruge headstones at approx. - 4m south of Church of St. Anthony

GV II

Two adjoining headstones. 1797 and 1800. Both square headed incised slate monolith slabs. The left hand stone inscribed to Richard John Roskruge, died 1800 aged 30 and the right hand stone to Richard Roskruge, died 1897 aged 66: "Killed when in the Execution of his Office as Surveyor of the Highways by a Blow on the Head."
