Description
Condurrow Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century, with an extension added around the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of painted stone rubble and cob, featuring slate sills and wooden lintels. The roof is steeply pitched with cedar shingles, sloping lower at the rear middle and right, and it was formerly thatched. There are brick chimneys located over the gable ends.
The original layout was a double-depth house with a kitchen and parlour on either side of a central passage that leads to the stair and shallow service rooms at the rear. The cottage was extended by one room on the left side during the late 18th to early 19th century. It stands two storeys tall, with a regular three-window front that has a symmetrical two-window arrangement and a central doorway on the right, along with a one-window extension on the left. The entrance features a ledged door with a small 20th-century porch, and the windows are 20th-century 12-pane casements. The interior has not been inspected.
