Description
This is a pair of headstones located about 19 meters southwest of the tower of the Church of St Constantine. They date from the late 18th century and are made of slate. The south headstone commemorates John Buckingham, who died in 1792, and features a triangular head with a scrolly profile and well-executed lettering. The north headstone honors Richard Corydon, who died in 1792, and another Richard Corydon, who died in 1794. It has a rounded ogee head and includes an open book with text, flanked by two ovals that contain carvings of a spade, a scythe, and a coffin above the inscription.
