Description

The gate piers and mounting block located east of the Church of Saint Anthony are likely from the late 19th century, but they include 15th-century granite mullions used as pier jambs and copings. The structure resembles an open lych gate and features stone side benches, which have been partly restored in the 20th century, flanking a granite cattle grid stile. On the right side, there is a high stone mounting block with five steps built against the wall. An old wrought iron gate with a scrolled top rail and arrow-head finials completes the design.
