Description

A group of five headstones dating from the 18th and 19th centuries is located approximately 3 metres south of the transept of the Church of Saint Hilary. The headstones are made of incised slate and commemorate the following individuals: Thomas Roskilley, who died in 1819 at the age of 72 (featuring a slate with a shaped head); John Gluyas of Marazion, who died in 1825 at the age of 68 (with a slate that has a square head); Richard Pierce, son of John and Anne Pierce, who died in 1815 at the age of 50 (also with a square head); and Margaret, the wife of William Hill, who died in 1777 at the age of 25.
