Description
Church House, located south of the Church of Saint Hilary, is a building dating from the late 19th century that served as a schoolroom or vestry above stables. It is constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings and features a scantle slate roof topped with a brick chimney on the left-hand gable end. The building has a rectangular plan, with four stable doorways at the front of the basement and a flight of external steps at the right-hand end that leads to a gabled porch at the rear right, providing access to the main first floor. The south front has a regular arrangement of four windows, which include 19th-century ledged doors and 19th-century two-light transomed casements with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
