Description

The Willows is an early 19th-century house located on Cornwall Terrace, Penzance. The house is built with roughcast render and has a slate hipped roof with moulded eaves soffits. It features end pilasters. The principal facade has two storeys and three windows, each set within recessed architraves and featuring sash windows with glazing bars. A string course runs along the facade. The central doorway is distinguished by engaged fluted Ionic columns supporting an entablature with a wide cornice, above a rectangular fanlight with intersecting glazing bars. A lean-to addition is present on the left end. The north elevation is splayed and contains two windows in recessed architraves. The rear elevation is covered in slate, and includes a circular stair bay with a tall, curved sash stair window.
