Description
The Stone Cross, located immediately to the east of the Museum in Penzance, is a granite wheelhead cross featuring an incised shaft and a shallow relief carved head. Originally situated in Green Market, it was removed in 1867 and later erected in Morrab Gardens in 1899 by the Penzance Natural History and Antiquarian Society. The cross was re-erected at its current location on a square granite stepped plinth. It is scheduled as an ancient monument.
