Description

SW 98 SE ST ENDELLION DOLPHIN STREET, (north side), Port Isaac 9/41 No 5 (Temple Cottage) 6.6.69 GV II 2 houses now 1. Circa late C18 extended to front left in early to mid C19. Rendered and painted stone rubble. Slate and asbestos slate roof with gable ends and rag slate roof to projecting wing on front left with gable end on front and hipped end on rear. Gable end of front projecting wing partly rebuilt in mid-late C20 with concrete block. Brick chimney stack on left-hand gable end of range to rear. Probably 2 room and cross passage plan with narrow passage known as Squeeze-Belly Alley on right-hand side. Further extended on left-hand side with 1-room cottage in circa early to mid C19 to produce overall 'L' shaped plan. 2 storeys asymmetrical 2-window front. Main range with partly glazed door near angle with projecting wing on left, sash to near centre and entrance to Squeeze-Belly Alley on right. First floor with C19 16-pane hornless sash. Projecting wing with casement in blocked door opening on ground floor and C19 20-pane sash above. Interior not inspected.
