Description

Woodbine Villa is a house that likely dates from the 18th century, with additions made around the mid-19th century and some alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of stone rubble, rendered and lined out, and features a slate roof with ridge tiles; the gable end is on the left and the right side is hipped. The house has a two-room plan, with a large room on the left and a smaller room on the right, both originally heated by an end stack. There is a rear service wing to the right, which has a one-room plan heated from a gable end stack and dates from the mid-19th century, along with an outshut to the rear left.

The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical three-window front. All windows are 19th-century sashes, arranged in two bays on the left and one on the right end, with all being 16-pane sashes in exposed boxes. The second window from the right is a 20th-century glazed door. The right end features a late 19th-century six-pane sash on the first floor. The rear wing is two storeys and splayed around the corner, with two 2-light 5-pane 19th-century casements and a 4-pane window at ground floor, along with two similar 2-light casements on the first floor. The inner side of the wing has a plank door and a 19th-century 4-pane sash at ground floor, with a 6-pane sash on the first floor. The rear of the main range includes a central stair tower with a 2-light 8-pane casement. To the right, there is a single-storey outhut with a scantle slate roof and a 20th-century 2-light casement, along with a stable-type plank door on the inner side and a 20th-century corrugated asbestos porch over the door. The interior is not accessible.
