Description
Grey Dawn is a house dating from around the mid 18th century, with an extension added in the mid 19th century. It is constructed from rendered and painted stone rubble and features a slate roof with gable ends, which has a steeper slope on the projecting wing at the front left. There is a brick chimney stack on the right-hand gable end. The house likely has a two-room and cross passage plan, which has been extended with an additional one-room range on the front left, creating an overall 'L' shaped layout.
The building is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical two-window front. On the right side, there is a partly glazed 20th-century door to the left, accompanied by a 19th-century 16-pane hornless sash window to the right, with a similar sash window on the first floor. The projecting wing on the left features a circa 19th-century six-pane sash window on both the ground and first floors, as well as a six-pane window in a blocked door opening on the side wall. The interior has not been inspected. The house is included for its group value.
