Description
Olivet House is a building that was originally two houses converted into one. It dates from the early 19th century and was extended in the mid-19th century. The exterior is finished in stuccoed and rendered stone rubble, topped with a rag slate roof featuring gable ends and brick end stacks. There is a projecting wing made of rendered stone rubble, which has a lower slate roof with gable ends at the front, adorned with bargeboards and a brick axial chimney stack. The layout consists of a two-room and cross passage plan, with a two-room wing added to the front left, which was likely a separate dwelling originally. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front. The entrance features a 19th-century four-panel door with a fanlight and a moulded cornice, flanked by two tall 19th-century 12-pane hornless sash windows, with three additional 12-pane hornless sash windows above. The projecting wing on the front left includes 19th-century sashes and casements. The interior is not accessible.
