Description

This is an early 19th-century house and its front steps. The house is built of stone rubble, partly rendered and stuccoed above the ground floor, and has a slate roof with a gable on the left and a hipped end on the right. A rendered chimney stack is on the left-hand gable end. The plan is of two rooms and a cross passage, with a larger room to the left. The house is two storeys and has an attic. The front is nearly symmetrical, featuring two windows. A 19th-century stable-type door is located to the right of the centre, with the right-hand jamb partly rebuilt. The ground floor has two 19th-century hornless 16-pane sashes, with two similar sashes above. A 9-pane casement is set within a raked dormer to the attic. The interior retains complete 19th-century carpentry details. A stone rubble and slate flight of steps leads to the front.
