Barns Immediately North West Of Boscarn Old Farmhouse

The barns immediately north west of Boscarn Old Farmhouse are two adjoining granaries that include cartsheds and stables beneath. They were built around the early 19th century and mid to late 19th century. Constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings, they feature a scantle slate roof with two levels and gable ends. The barns have a rectangular plan, with the original barn on the left showcasing opposing first floor loading and winnowing doorways, along with stone steps leading up to a rear doorway. The later barn has stone steps leading up to a central doorway at the front.

Both barns are two storeys tall and have unaltered elevations with original openings. The south-east front displays the original barn on the left and the lower barn extension on the right. The original barn features a stable doorway on the left, a ventilator to its right, and a wide waggon doorway on the right, along with a first floor loading doorway towards the left and another ventilator towards the right. The later barn includes a stable doorway on the left and a wide waggon doorway on the right, which has been later subdivided. Inside, there are 19th century first floor and roof structures.
